We Looked for Car Insurance Rates for Kids
My son just started driving last summer so we had to search for better car insurance rates so we could afford to put him on as a driver. A sixteen year old boy is about the most expensive person to insure that I can think of. I can understand, but I still do not like having to pay for it.
I told my son that after we researched some cheaper car insurance companies, and picked one out, that I would let him know how much it will cost him. I think if he is responsible enough to drive, he is responsible enough to get a job and help pay his insurance.
He is a straight “A” student so that helped us get some good car insurance rates, and all in all I can say a year later, he is a pretty good driver. I have never been a big fan of car insurance companies in the first place. I do not agree with them when they drop you just for having a claim, I do not think that is right.
Not all the car insurance companies do that but many of them do. Insurance is nothing but a big pile of money that all the member contribute to and when someone in that group has a claim he or she just draws from that pile of money to help pay for their expenses. That is the best way I can think to describe how it works.
