Paying Off Debt With Structured Settlement
The structured settlement that was awarded to me was not enough money to wait five years for. I figured that even if I lost half of it, buy looking to sell structured settlement payments, I would still only have enough money to pay off half of my debt that I incurred from not being able to work.
I contacted someone who told me that they would like to help me sell structured settlement payments and I explained that they would really have to make it worth my while to consider selling off early. I was trying to bluff them, but they already knew my financial situation and that I was currently unemployed so I think that they knew I would take whatever they offered me. I turned them down and then later found out that they were not a very reputable company in the business of structured settlements. I guess that they have had tons of complaints filed against them and they will probably be out of business before the year is over. That made me feel better about turning them down and I found a new company to deal with that offered me over eighty percent of the awarded amount. At least I can start to pay down some of my debt.
