Being a truck driver for a shipping company pays well. It may physically be straining at times especially during long distance travels but it also has its rewards. And one particular reward that my family is blessed with is that I am covered by the trucking insurance our company has. Our management also unfailingly gives us reminders on safety driving precautions. Periodic checks and reports with the technology of GPS also keep our clients and even our families updated on our whereabouts and of the status of their goods. Naturally, we all have the life-saving basics pre-installed in our trucks for the simplest incidents and God forbid, even for the life-threatening ones. 

But what I appreciate the most were the trainings and sessions that teach us the basics on life-saving interventions and those sessions where we were informed about the coverage of the  commercial truck insurance the company has acquired. After that discussion and open forum, It no longer comes as a surprise to me why they would invest much on insuring their investments, their clients and all of us truck drivers. Why, if I were in their shoes, I’m most likely to do the same.
